Feel much more relaxed. As expected packing is not too hard (although it later turns out that we – i.e. I! - have missed a whole pile of Chris’s stuff). We have booked the Travelodge at Canterbury for the night and set off early in the afternoon. Not too bad a journey except for a big hold up on the M25 (accident in the Holmesdale Tunnel) which means that we arrive about an hour behind schedule. However, we have been hearing all the way down that there have been weather problems in the channel, big queues at Dover and Operation Stack is in place so if we had stuck with our original plan we’d probably have been sitting outside Dover for hours.
