Sheep .....

We are awoken by the clank of bells and the sound of the children shouting “look sheep!” The whole of the garden below the house is full of sheep being, we presume, driven up from winter to summer pasture. We exchange pleasantries with the shepherds and they disappear up the hill. I manage a few photos but only of their rear ends (the sheep's, not the shepherds'!). The weather is absolutely gorgeous – clear blue sky and about 20°.
Today is a day for taking it easy. Up to Monte San Martino for coffee / gelati and to get breakfast essentials from the shop. Later we go to Amandola for a big shop for the next few days. In the evening the four of us play Rummikub – we never seem to have / make time to play games as a family at home but we love doing it here.
